- The Professional/General Manager will oversee all aspects of golf operations, including management of the pro shop, coordination with department managers, and delivery of player development programs. This individual will play a key leadership role in maintaining a high standard of service, fostering a vibrant golf culture, and driving the club’s success both operationally and financially.
- Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations
- Oversee daily golf operations, ensuring efficient and professional service for members and guests.
- Work collaboratively with the grounds, clubhouse, and pro shop managers to coordinate facility operations.
- Supervise and train seasonal staff to ensure high-quality customer experiences.
- Manage tee sheet operations, tournament coordination, and overall pace of play.
- Monitor budgets and operational costs to ensure financial accountability.
Pro Shop/Golf Ops Management
- Oversee all aspects of pro shop sales, inventory, and merchandising.
- Develop strategies to maximize profitability and customer engagement.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and contribute to revenue growth through effective retail and lesson programs.
Player Development & Community Engagement
- Lead and grow the club’s Junior Golf Program and range operations.
- Offer private and group instruction for players of all skill levels; retain 100% of lesson revenue.
- Represent Phantom Lake Golf Club positively within the local community and golf industry.
General Management
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term club development with the executive board.
- Maintain compliance with PGA of Canada standards and uphold a professional image at all times.
- Support member relations, communications, and event programming to foster a welcoming club culture.

- Self-starter, results orientated and hands-on when needed.
- Experienced leadership of multi departments of hospitality.
- A post-secondary degree in business or a golf-related program.
- Compensation

- Salary: $42,000 – $48,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Performance Bonus: Up to $15,000 based on pro shop profit revenues

- Food Allowance: $300 per month (clubhouse meals)
- Expense Allowance: $400 per month (personal expenses, gas, phone, etc.)
- Housing: Two-bedroom summer residence at Phantom Lake (5-minute walk from the course)
- PGA Membership: Annual dues and licensing fees covered
- Lesson Revenue: 100% retained by the Professional
