Job Summary

The National Sales Manager, Golf & Retail, is responsible for leading and growing sales across Canada for Cutter & Buck, Clique, and ahead, focusing on the golf, team, and retail channels. This leadership role oversees all sales strategy, account management, budgeting, and team performance within the defined channels, with a mandate to achieve profitable, sustainable growth. The successful candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor, skilled at building relationships, leading sales teams, and collaborating cross- functionally to achieve revenue, gross margin, and EBIT targets.

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Set the national direction for the Golf, Team & Retail divisions for both brands.
  • Develop and execute annual sales plans aligned with company growth, margin, and expense objectives.
  • Translate company strengths including brand equity, inventory investment, local decoration, and fulfillment capabilities into actionable sales programs.
  • Monitor sales performance, expenses, and profitability to ensure continuous improvement.

Key Account & Channel Management

  • Lead national relationships with golf, team and retail accounts, buying groups, and key customers.
  • Further the sales interests with a focus on keeping CB & ahead relevant to industry initiatives, key industry organizations and other groups.
  • Develop and execute account plans that align customer needs with brand strengths.
  • Ensure outstanding service, quick problem resolution, and long-term loyalty.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support both independent and employed sales representatives.
  • Set sales goals, performance standards, and incentive programs to drive accountability.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent across all regions.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, webinars, and field visits to ensure alignment and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and CEO to align sales and operational execution.
  • Partner with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure consistent brand representation.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams on market trends, pricing, and opportunities.
  • Promote the use B2B systems to improve ordering efficiency and customer service.

Financial & Administrative

  • Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and expense plans.
  • Analyze sales and margin results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Negotiate agreements with key accounts and buying groups.
  • Represent both brands at national and regional trade shows, events, and customer meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience, including 5 years in management or national account leadership within apparel, sportswear, or golf/retail industries.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales and profit goals.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using CRM and digital B2B tools.
  • Established network within the Canadian golf and retail industries preferred.
Compensation
100 -110K plus bonus.
