Within Range Golf Centres, the best golf practice facility in Southern Ontario! We have two locations which located at the major city of Burlington and Thornhill/Markham. Burlington located in the Southern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Ontario, between Hamilton and Toronto at the west end of the Greater Toronto Area. Thornhill, a suburban neighbourhood in the Greater Toronto Area of Southern Ontario, located on the northern border of the city of Toronto.

Within Range Golf Centres provides customers a great place to practice. With 45 acres land at Thornhill( with 145 stations) and 20 acres land in Burlington(75 stations), we have exceptional grass and mat area for golfers to sharpen their long and short games. Our facilities are well maintained with target greens, yardage, bunkers, putting green and chipping areas. We use new quality range balls, hitting mats, and grass tee.

Within Range Golf Centres is more than a golf driving range. It is also a premier place to learn the game of golf. It is our goal to provide top notch golf instruction. All our golf coaches are fully accredited and experienced in teaching. We're looking for a Supervisor / Manager to join our new management team at our Thornhill location..

Responsibilities

You'd be responsible for:

Opening and closing of the driving range:

*The end of day cash register reads, securely locking buildings and gates. Arm and disarm security systems. Servicing all teeing ground stations on driving range to include:

* Moving markers,

* Sand/seeding divots from prior day's play,

* Removing broken tees,

* Removing trash from receptacles,

* Maintaining ball-dispenser and washers

* Policing trash from driving range during daily travel,

* Daily monitoring of traffic control devices on driving range- ropes, stakes, and directional signs,

* Daily cleaning and stocking of restrooms.

Respond to golfers’ questions, requests, concerns;

Direct golfers around the driving range, if they are unfamiliar with the layout; Inform golfers about driving range policies, and let a golfer know when he might be in violation of facility policy; Try to mediate any disputes that might arise between groups; Look for opportunities to care for the driving range, keeping it nice and clean Most important of all, look for ways to help the customers enjoy their experience.
 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Assists other departments when necessary SUPERVISION: It is inevitable that other duties will arise from time to time. Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

*High School diploma or equivalent

*Must be able to work weekends and holidays

*Must be able to work a minimum of two days per week

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

*Excellent soft skills/people skills

*Excellent communication & organizational skills

*Ability to respond timely to guest inquiries and guest incidents

*Ability to demonstrate excellence in guest service

*Ability to be a team player

* Computer literate

*Previous golf course experience preferred

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

* Bilingual (English)

* Physical demands are required for this position and might include, but are not limited to:

* Regular light lifting up to 20 pounds,

* Regular exposure to outside environment including rain, cold, sun, or night,

* Especially Repetitive movement- twisting, turning, bending, squatting, stooping, standing, walking, sitting
