The PGA of Canada is looking to hire four (4) Contract/ Assignment based:  Regional, Career & Talent Advisors to launch its ‘Right Fit’ Pilot. Advisors will be assigned to one or multiple Zones across Canada.

Job Summary
Support, educate and build the value proposition of PGA of Canada Professionals, as valued staff members of golf facilities across Canada. This individual will have an ambassador/best-in-class mindset and stellar business acumen to foster these relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a support resource and liaison with the ultimate goal of gathering necessary insight/data, providing talent acquisition advice, tools, best practices through the lens of a collaborative and consultative approach.
  • Aid in developing compelling job descriptions and postings that attract top talent and help clubs ‘tell their story’.
  • Be available for ‘Needs Assessment’ sessions and workshops, 1 to 1 consultation as well as regional workshops either in person or remotely.
  • Support gap analysis and help bridge solutions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure familiarity with the PGA of Canada programs, specializations and its tools and resources.
  • Ensure alignment, integration, and adaptation of PGA of Canada’s Employment program capability to meet goals and objectives.
  • Reach out to existing PGA of Canada members, club stakeholders, and zone representatives to raise awareness, coordinate work, share relevant information or raise any questions/suggestions, maintaining the highest standards, quality of activities and service.
  • Provide transparent, effective, and timely communication.
  • Compile documented feedback and findings from the field to continuously develop the necessary supports to the regions/zones.
  • Be visible and approachable to all, maximizing relationship building and being a PGA of Canada brand ambassador.
Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications: 

 
  • An innovative and strategic thinker with strong business acumen

  • Exceptional presentation and speaking skills;

    • To be able to provide the club owners/management with the value and the profitability that a PGA of Canada professional will bring to the club. 

  • Ability to quickly ramp up knowledge.

    • Understanding of what PGA of Canada professionals do in every role

    • Knowledge and complete understanding of the association, its programs, the Training Academy, the networking opportunities, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability of delivering programs and processes to completion.

  • Experience working with hiring managers, board of directors, division leaders, and executives. 

  • This workplace environment calls for quick thinking/fast action, flexibility, influencing skills and a great sense of personality and at times great humor!

  • Ability to prepare compelling job descriptions/profiles. 

  • Knowledge of the golf industry and/or similar industries, is desirable

  • Significant experience in effective, direct, and respectful ‘selling of the business’…in this case the PGA of Canada. 

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience (ie: HR Management/Talent Acquisition/Member Services) 

  • Project management software/apps

  • Post secondary education is desirable

  • Proven brand ambassador qualities

  • Ability to work independently 

Compensation
$19,000 for 26-week contract plus travel expenses. Approximately 30 Hours Weekly.
