- Job Summary
- Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Member Relations & Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting membership engagement, internal and external communications, and Club wide marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring members and prospects receive timely, polished, and engaging information while also supporting member onboarding, relationship building, and community engagement. The individual in this role must be a strong writer, a creative thinker, and a natural relationship builder who thrives in a dynamic, member focused environment.
- Responsibilities

Member Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries and support
- Develop and deliver onboarding communications for new members
- Assist with member engagement initiatives, appreciation events, leagues, and social programs
- Collaborate with Section Captains and Committee Chairs on communications and scheduling
- Monitor member feedback and identify opportunities for improved experiences
- Represent the Club at events to foster a warm, professional presence
Communications & Marketing:
- Plan, write, and distribute internal and external communications
- Research, write, and design The Rose, BGC’s monthly digital newsletter
- Create social media content highlighting Club life and membership opportunities
- Maintain and update website and app content
- Design posters, signage, and digital displays
- Support communications strategies that improve clarity and engagement
Membership Support & Recruitment Assistance:
- Support the GM with membership inquiries and follow ups
- Maintain accurate prospects and membership records
- Provide support for membership promotions and outreach campaigns
- Assist in developing marketing materials including brochures and digital ads
- Prepare reports on membership activity and metrics
Events & Programming Support:
- Assist with organizing Club events and social activities
- Collaborate with departments to ensure smooth logistical execution
- Support Day of duties such as greeting, photography, or communications support Administrative & Reporting Duties:
- Maintain accurate communication archives and databases
- Assist with administrative needs for Board and Committees
- Track communications performance and member feedback
- Provide input for continuous improvement initiatives
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with General Manager and all departments
- Coordinate with Golf, F&B, and Course & Grounds teams
- Stay informed on industry best practices and communication trends
- Qualifications

- Experience in communications, marketing, hospitality, or member services
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Proficiency in social media management and digital content creation
- Familiarity with Canva or Adobe tools is an asset
- Experience with Jonas or similar platforms preferred
- Highly organized and multi-task oriented
- Passion for golf or private club environments is an asset
- Compensation
- Base $50,000 to $55,000 per year plus member sales commissions
