Job Summary

The Store General Manager is responsible for effectively managing all functions in the store and maximizing the net profit of their location.

This is accomplished through ensuring excellent customer service, maximizing sales, expense and cost management, store presentation, and loss prevention. It is essential that you’re have a passion for the game and specifically for the equipment side of the game. It will be your role to drive the growth of the store and the development of the staff that you’re working with.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

Customer Service:

• Ensures that every customer who comes through the door is receiving the best customer service possible.

• Provide continuous constructive feedback and coaching to team members pertaining their customer service and how they can improve.

Operations:

• Responsible for the overall appearance, maintenance and correct pricing of products within the store.

• Establishes plan and follows up on execution of seasonal price changes and setup of promotional displays.

• Leads the execution of all direction from management.

• Oversees annual inventory counts.

• Ensures all cash outs are done accurately and neatly.

• Sets and manages the weekly schedules of all staff ensuring appropriate staff levels based on information available.

Training:

• Coach and develop your team, through setting expectations, communication, coaching, feedback and ongoing support.

• Conducts annual appraisals for all full-time staff, support and coach to improve any performance gaps, and conduct ongoing coaching to improve team.

• Communicates in a clear and concise manner to team, leading effective huddles / meetings / coaching sessions, keeping team well informed of pertinent information.

• Facilitate and lead team meetings.

• Ensure execution of the Customer service and provides resolution for all customer concerns.

• Develops and leads recruiting and hiring strategy for store, maintains a complete team

Leadership:

• Recognizes that you represent our store and our brand whether you’re at the store or elsewhere.

• You’re a “servant leader” who would never ask something of the staff that you wouldn’t do yourself. You prefer to lead by working shoulder to shoulder with your staff rather than a “top-down” approach.

• Promotes and maintains a positive and motivating work environment.

Deliverables: 

• Achieves net profit, store appearance and inventory management goals.

• Manages sales to payroll and overall expense goals.

Qualifications

What you bring

• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop staff through setting expectations, communication, coaching, feedback and ongoing support.

• Proven ability to build and manage a daily and weekly game plans for a business.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Superior training and mentoring skills.

• 3-5 years retail management experience required (golf retail preferred).

• High energy, enthusiasm and a drive to succeed.

• Fundamental computer skills an asset.

Compensation
$70k-$100k
