The PGA of Canada was established in 1911 and is the second oldest and third largest professional golf association in the world. The PGA of Canada is a non-profit Association comprised of 3,700 golf professionals across the country. The PGA of Canada develops, promotes, and supports members in living a better life and earning a better living. The Association consists of the National Office located in Acton, Ontario and nine Zone Offices across the country.

The PGA of Manitoba are golf professionals and golf leaders in the community committed to preserving the well-being of the game within the province of Manitoba.

The PGA of Manitoba consists of golf professionals and golf leaders in the community committed to preserving the well-being of the game within the province of Manitoba and Northwest Ontario (Thunder Bay/West).

Career Opportunity:

 The PGA of Manitoba is seeking an Executive Director  who will be a leader in the Manitoba golf industry with progressive vision, goals, and very strong communication skills.

The office is remote/work from home.

Travel required to golf courses and activities throughout year.

Responsibilities

The position, but not limited to, includes:

• Day to day operations and administration of the PGA of Manitoba zone

• Executing and guiding vision and strategy of the Board of Directors

• Sponsorship and vendor partnerships

• Administration of the PGA of Manitoba insurance plan

• Organizational Leadership

• Reporting to the Board of Directors

• Planning and executing zone tournaments

• Planning and executing education seminars and annual general meeting

• Website

• Social Media

• Financial Management

• Overseeing and executing Buying Show

• Yearly awards

• Communications to the membership, media, and vendors/sponsors

• Working with the national office including yearly travel meetings

• Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame meetings

• Other duties agreed upon

Qualifications

Skills:

• Very strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Independent

• Financial management including budget

• Ability to lead the association

• Professionalism

• Written skills including use of Microsoft office

• Ability to create and produce marketing material

• Public speaking

• Golf app knowledge, including Golf Genius

• Management, planning, and organizational skills

• Ability to communicate and work with each of the approx 120 members in our zone

• High level of knowledge in the game of golf and Manitoba golf courses

• Experience working with Boards of Directors an asset

Compensation
$42,000 - $55,000
