About Us

PGA of Canada Atlantic is an association of PGA Professionals in Atlantic Canada and is one of nine Zones that form the PGA of Canada

Established in 1911, the PGA of Canada is the second oldest and third largest professional golf association in the world. The PGA of Canada is a non-profit Association comprised of 3900 golf professionals across the country.

The PGA of Canada Atlantic was founded in 1946 and its over 200 PGA Professionals work in the Golf Industry in various capacities including General Managers, Directors of Golf, Head Golf Professionals, Instructors, Coaches, etc.

The Association's mandate is to develop, promote and support our members as experts in the game and business of golf and, in so doing, serve both its members’ needs and those of the golfing public through the Association's varied programs and events.

Job Summary

To coordinate the delivery of communication and marketing objectives including event management. This is a work from home position with some travel required for member events.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

  • Beginning April 15th, 2024 – Negotiable.

 

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a communication and marketing plan.
  • Coordinate a consistent presence on social media.
  • Coordinate monthly communication to membership.
  • Prepare and deliver articles for the Golf News.
  • Interview professionals and prepare articles for bios for promotion on social media.
  • Prepare personal interest stories on PGA Professionals.
  • Develop a series “A Day in the life of a PGA Professional”.
  • Maintain and keep website current.
  • Prepare email communications for members.
  • Coordinate media coverage and press releases for events/tournaments (pre, during and post).
  • Prepare tournament press releases.
  • Develop and prepare communication plan to highlight Zone partners.
  • Coordinate set-up and delivery of members events/tournaments.
  • Coordinate PGA Day.
  • Ensure timely scoring at tournaments using Golf Genius software.
  • Develop and maintain an event checklist.
  • Keep detailed inventory of all PGA promotional materials.
  • Other responsibilities as required and as the position evolves.
  • This position is a combination of remote and on-site work.
  • Must possess a valid Canadian driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.

 

Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing would be an asset but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Experience in creative writing, content creation, storytelling considered an asset.
  • An excellent understanding of most social media platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and see projects through to completion.
  • Strong computer skills with an understanding of various platforms and their application (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Working knowledge of Golf Genius considered an asset.
  • Organized and detail oriented Able to manage deadlines.
  • Must possess a valid Canadian driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
  • A self-starter with the ability to effectively work remotely.
Compensation

$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 date. (part-time to full-time potential)
