Job Summary
The Assistant Retail Manager offers superior customer service while selling merchandise and assists the Retail Manager in merchandising, inventory control, special events and day-to-day operational duties, including daily Golf Shop Operations.
Responsibilities

• Be courteous and helpful to the members in the Pro Shop and around the 1st tee.

• Answer the phone and assist with member questions and requests.

• Assist members with booking tee time reservations.

• First tee monitoring

• Monitor and accurately record and charge green fees and cart rental fees.

• Assist all customers with their shopping needs.

• Known product features and benefits to promote multiple selling.

• Be courteous and helpful.

• Know members by name.

• Implement correct point of sale procedures.

• Be familiar with merchandising, displays and Proshop procedures.

• Rotate displays and keep the shop fresh and exciting.

• Stock merchandise.

• Be aware of monthly sales goals.

• Attendance of product knowledge events.

• Promote all Golf Operations personnel.

• Regular attendance to weekly Golf Shop meetings.

• Assist with receiving and preparation of new merchandise.

• Assist with monthly physical inventory counts.

• Monitor best sellers and assist with weekly promotional communications.

• Monitor stock room inventory levels and order merchandise as required.

• Assist with the organization of the stock room.

Qualifications
  • Experience working in a retail environment
  • PGM or PGA of Canada Candidates preferred
