- Job Summary
- Reporting to the Director of Golf & Curling, The Head Golf Professional/ Lead Associate Golf Professional will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of operations, personnel, finances, and facilities of the golf and curling club. play a key role in daily golf operations, member and guest services, instruction, and merchandising. This is an ideal opportunity for a Class A professional looking to grow within a supportive and scenic golf environment.

We are seeking a Head Professional/ Lead Associate Golf Professional to:
- Support the Director of Golf & Curling by assuming full responsibility of the Golf Operation including special events, Junior instruction and Curling operations.
- Develop great member relations.
- Oversee the administration of the handicap program.
- Maintain close working relationship with the Superintendent and other department heads.
- Maintain and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with patron demographics and needs.
- Assist in the publication of newsletters, social media, informational and promotional materials.
- Implement cash and systems controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.

- The ability to deliver excellent members and guest experience, which drives your proven ability to lead a team of friendly, engaging, service-oriented staff and volunteers.
- Your education and experience demonstrate your comprehension of the many skills required for this role and that you can build and sustain relationships and produce results.
- Experience and understanding of hospitality, golf, and recreation, having a strong understanding of running profitable food and bar services.
- A proven track record of teaching, coaching a developing a junior program brings the opportunity of golf and curling to all the young people within our community, providing appropriate solutions for those who potentially cannot afford to take part for themselves.
Qualifications being sought:
- Class “A” Professional in good standing with the PGA of Canada.
- Post-Secondary Degree/ Diploma in Golf Management and/or Business Management.
- Very detailed and team-oriented with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in tournament software (Golf Genius or similar) and Tee-On POS system is an asset.
- Proven ability to teach and inspire golfers of all levels.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Keen to learn or ideally experienced in Curling operations and managing bonspiels.
- Proficient computer skills in particular Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word).
- Compensation
- Salary: $72k + bonus structure, (negotiable based on experience)
