The Olds Golf Club is located 45 minutes north of Calgary, Alberta. The Olds Golf Club is a Championship 18 hole facility which has hosted many PGA and Alberta Golf Championships. We have an active membership of over 300. We are the 2023 host of the Alberta Mid Masters Championship.

Job Summary
Ideal candidates are social, positive, able to work in small or large groups and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be required to help manage the pro shop staff, club and corporate events, leagues and lesson programs. You will report directly to the clubs Pro/Manager.
Responsibilities

This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an Associate Golf Professional in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.

- Assist the Pro/Manager with all golf operations. Including tournaments, rules, tee sheet activity, merchandise inventory, range operations, player services operations and the power cart fleet.

- Assist in the development of the budget and business plan. Help to control expenses in relation to revenues.

- Help create a customer service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf to meet the needs of our members and guests. Ensure the associates provide a high level of customer service.

- Work closely with the Pro/Manager, Superintendent and the Food and Beverage Manager on a daily basis.

- Assist in Preparing work schedules and assign associates areas of responsibility.

- Provide leadership and vision to golf staff, building people and preparing them for career advancement.

- Provide golf instruction through lessons and clinics to members and guests. Including our Junior Golf Programs.

- Work closely with the Pro/Manager to implement and maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.

- Incorporate safe work practices in the job performance.

- Assist with all opening/closing procedures and POS operation.

- Regular and reliable attendance.

- Maintains and promotes a positive professional image within the community.

- Perform other duties required.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years related experience and or training.

- PGA of Canada Professional in good standing

- Experience with Tee-On Software would be considered an asset

Compensation
Salary Range $48,000 to $60,000 depending on the qualifications and experience

- Yearly CPGA Dues paid by the Olds Golf Club

- Equipment Staff Players Package

- $500 per year merchandise allowance at cost

- $1000 per year continued Professional Development allowance

- $1000 per year Tournament entries (to be reviewed by the club)

- $100 per month Cell Phone allowance

- Lesson revenue over and above salary
