- Job Summary
- Immediate Opening - Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at one of the Greater Edmonton’s premier public golf facilities, Coloniale Golf Club. Reporting to the General Manager – The Head Professional’s responsibility is to provide golfers with an overall exceptional golf experience and fostering a true sense of community amongst our leagues and membership programs. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in creating, managing and leading all aspects of day-to-day golf operations.
- Responsibilities
-
- Assist the General Manager in Daily Supervision of Golf Operation.
- Schedule, manage, train, and support a team of Golf Operations Employees.
- Manage the daily tee sheet with accuracy maximizing efficiency.
- Oversee the reservation system, starting, and monitoring of play.
- Coordinate and facilitate group bookings, and outside tournaments.
- Supervise physical inventories and the display of merchandise. Assist in continuing implementation of necessary systems to safeguard inventories as well as participate with GM in developing new protocols as required from time to time.
- Run and maintain and active Men’s and Ladies League
- Maintain a close working relationship with golf course Superintendent and other department heads.
- Assist General Manager in Operations as required.
- Teaching lessons outside of scheduled shop hours.
- Provide exceptional customer service with guests.
- Assists with team member training.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Qualifications
-
- Class “A” member in good standing with the PGA of Canada.
- Education related to the golf industry considered an asset.
- Work effectively within a team management structure.
- Quick learner and a creative problem solver.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be available weekends and holidays.
- Compensation

- Base salary based on experience
- 100% of individual private lessons; 80% of group lesson with 20% back to Club for range and equipment use Commissioned sales opportunities available above base salary
- Annual discretionary bonus opportunity based on personal and club performance
