- We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work diligently to enhance the guest experience and exceed our member’s and guest’s expectations at the club. The successful candidate will be someone who can thrive in a fast paced, fun and professional environment and will work closely with ownership and other management team members to learn, grow, and look for opportunities to improve club operations.
- Responsibilities

The Head Professional is responsible to the General Manager and, through the General Manager, to the Board of Directors for his actions relating to the operation of the Club. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, organize, and execute Ladies Night.
- Plan, organize, and execute Junior Night programming.
- Manage, supervise, schedule, and support Pro Shop staff.
- Manage merchandise inventory, including receiving, stocking, merchandising, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with ordering.
- Manage stationery inventory, including scorecards, pencils, paper products, forms, and other Pro Shop operating supplies.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute outside tournaments, member tournaments, Club events, and golf leagues.
- Manage member accounts and assist with account questions, charges, credits, and follow-up as required.
- Sign up and onboard new members, including completing required membership records and providing Club information.
- Create and publish social media posts and other Club promotional content as directed.
- Create promotional materials, event graphics, signage, and digital content.
- Golf Genius software for tournament setup, registration, scoring, results, communications, and event administration.
- Assist with tee sheet management, customer service, event preparation, tournament administration, and general Golf Shop operations.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate operational issues, staffing concerns, inventory needs, and member matters to the General Manager.
- Devote a reasonable amount of time to play golf with members of all skill levels
- Perform other reasonable duties related to the Head Professional position as assigned by the General Manager.
- Collect, organize, and interpret weekly, monthly, and annual statistics on golf-course revenue and rounds played.
- Work together with other department managers to ensure important information is communicated, ensuring member satisfaction at all events and on a day-to-day basis.
- Work together with club committees and subcommittees and/or club chair as required.
- Promote a safe workplace by ensuring all staff perform their duties in a safe manner in compliance with all health and safety legislated requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Enhance the reputation and the image of the Club.
- Qualifications

- Class "A" PGA of Canada member in good standing.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant management/leadership experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, the rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
- Fundamental personnel management and supervising practices.
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- Customer service and satisfaction-focused attitude
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image at the club and within the local community.
- Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market the business.
- Smart Serve, WHMIS and Food Handlers certified.
- Technologically inclined including a strong understating of Point-of-Sale systems and associated hardware.
- Ability to maintain a strong relationship with the membership and guests.
- Strong event-management skills including tournament and league coordination.
- Quick learner and creative problem solver- ability to make important decisions on the fly.
- Work effectively within a team management structure.
- Compensation
- $75,000 - $85,000 (Based on experience)
