Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our team of dedicated professionals. As the driving force behind our operations, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of The Links Golf Course and ensuring that we continue to deliver positive and memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

General

• Oversee all aspects of golf course operations, including golf operations, pro shop management, and clubhouse services, including food & beverage operations.

• Maintain effective communication and positive relationship with The Links Superintendent and staff.

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure continued success and growth of The Links.

• Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement innovative programs and initiatives to enhance the overall golfing experience.

• Serve as the primary liaison between The Links and the community by building positive relationships with members, guests, local organizations, and local governing bodies.

• Be engaging and accessible to guests and respond to concerns in a timely manner.

• Develop and implement marketing initiatives that will maximize the golf course’s potential earnings, while at the same time promote courteous, professional, and friendly service to all guests.

• Tournament and Banquet Management, oversee tournament bookings with staff department heads to ensure organized execution of tournament and banquet events. Financial:

• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets, with a focus on maximizing revenue and controlling expenses.

• Analyze financial performance metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives to drive profitability.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

• Monitor financial trends and market conditions to make informed decisions and adapt strategies as needed to achieve financial objectives. Human Resources:

• Recruit, hire, and train a skilled and motivated team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

• Establish and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching.

• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and promotes teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.

Qualifications

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in golf course management or a similar leadership role, with a demonstrated passion for the game of golf.

• PGA of Canada Head Golf Professional status preferred.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with members, guests, and staff.

• Experience in financial management, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and analyze financial data.

• Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations.

• Must be able to work days/evenings/weekends as needed.

Compensation
$7,000-$8,500 plus bonus incentives.
