Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Develop and execute the annual strategic operations plan and budget that aligns with the company's strategic master plan.
  • Ensuring budgeted sales and seasonal (April 1 to Oct 31) operational objectives are met through the planning & development. Maintain employee communication across the property to ensure goals and objectives are understood and exceeded.
  • Financially monitor all departments including: Golf operations, Turf Care, Luxury Lodging (20 rooms / 4 cabins), Maintenance, Food and Beverage and Staff Accommodation.
  • Work closely with leadership team to deliver exceptional guest service across all resort departments.
  • Enhance performance and guide/develop Department Heads on daily operations. Setting up the team for Success.
  • Consulting with leadership at all levels as well as cross-functional stakeholders to understand overall business strategy and issues and how those impact the resort operations.
  • Develop community relations within the Columbia Valley, including Chamber of Commerce and Destination Marketing Organizations.
  • Assessing current business practices and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies. Develop standard operating procedures (S.O.P.) to maintain quality standards.
  • Support Recruiting and Training of seasonal operation employees.
  • Reviewing policies received by Human Resources and drive implementation along with the HR team.
  • Supporting performance management, training, leadership development and planning for department successors.
  • Collaborating with Head Office team, Human Resources, Accounting, Sales & Marketing to ensure smooth functioning of the operations and achieve financial results.
  • Ensuring the daily success of the operations with a hands-on approach.
  • Report monthly to CEO the key performance and financial figures. Follow and develop a budget for all departments and submit it for approval on a timely basis.
  • Building a culture of safety in the work environment and keeping employees' morale high.
  • Oversee and address Staff Accommodation complaints and concerns with support from HR.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Expertise and Skills Required:

  • Customer centric and sales driven.
  • Progressive management experience within Golf, F&B, and Lodging is preferred.
  • Previous resort management in mountain communities is an asset, but not a requirement.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with software applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong ability to learn and train seasonal employees to use variety of information systems. Previous experience with Club Prophet (POS), WebRezPro (PMS), Sage Intacct (ACC), and Dayforce (HRIS) is an asset.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or golf professional designation is preferred.
Compensation
100k -120k per year
