Job Summary

We are looking for a General Manager for our Eagle Ranch Resort in the Canadian Rockies and Purcell Mountains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual strategic operations plan and budget that aligns with the company's strategic master plan.

• Ensuring budgeted sales and operational objectives are met through the planning & development. Maintain employee communication across the property to ensure goals and objectives are understood and exceeded.

• Financially monitor all departments including: Golf operations, Turf Care, Luxury Lodging (20 rooms / 4 cabins), Maintenance and Food and Beverage.

• Enhance performance and guide/develop Department Heads on daily operations. Setting up the team for Success.

• Consulting with leadership at all levels as well as cross-functional stakeholders to understand overall business strategy and issues and how those impact the resort operations.

• Develop community relations within the Columbia Valley, including Chamber of Commerce and Destination Marketing Organizations.

• Assessing current business practices and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies. Develop SOP's to maintain quality standards.

• Reviewing policies received by Human Resources and drive their implementation along with the HR team.

• Supporting performance management, training, leadership development and planning for department successors.

• Collaborating with Human Resources, Accounting, Sales & Marketing to ensure smooth functioning of the operations and achieve results.

• Ensuring the daily Success of the operations with a hands-on approach.

• Report to Director of Operations the key performance and financial figures. Follow and develop a budget for all departments and submit it for approval on a timely basis.

• Building a culture of safety in the work environment and keeping employees' morale high.

• Oversee Staff Housing concerns with support from HR Team.

Qualifications

• Must be Highly energetic, Self-starter and have a positive disposition.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.

• 10 years of progressive management experience within the Golf, Hospitality and Tourism industry is required. Minimum 3 years experience in senior leadership position.

• Minimum 2 years Food and Beverage Management Experience

• Minimum 2 years Rooms Management Experience (Front Office / Housekeeping)

• Advanced working skills, abilities and knowledge in Lodging, F&B, Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, and Golf.

• Previous resort management in remote location is an asset.

• Previous experience in pre-opening resorts is an asset.

• Should be eligible to work in Canada full-time.

• Ability to develop and lead a high-performing team.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with others.

• Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization.

• Big picture, structured thinker with strong ability to bring multiple deadlines to closure.

• Work collaboratively with Director of Operations to make solid decisions quickly based on limited information and changing conditions.

• Strong leadership & interpersonal skills; ability to articulate clear directions and influence others.

• Strong computer skills; experience with software applications such as Microsoft Office.

• Work over 40 hours per week, including weekends during peak golf season (May through October).

Compensation

• Competitive base salary with annual bonus incentive.

• $100,000 – $120,000
