The Meadows Golf & Country Club is a 36-hole public golf course, located in the national capital region. The Meadows is an active club with events, pass-holders and public golfers. We have been in operation since 1997 and we are a locally owned and operated facility.
Our original director of golf has retired at the end of the 2022 season after 25 seasons at The Meadows.

The Director of Golf will oversee all golf operations. Working with the General Manager and the other department heads to provide our customers with an excellent golf experience while upholding golf policies and procedures.
The Meadows hosts many corporate and charity golf events. Our Director of Golf is the club’s representative to our golfers and community – events, public golfers, league participants and pass-holders. He or She will make decisions in the best interests of the club. Use your experience and come and put your mark on the Ottawa golf market.
- Responsibilities

- Managing pro shop staff - hiring, training and teaching
- Executing tournaments, leagues, club events
- Mentoring junior pro shop staff
- Working with Players assistants/Marshalls to provide customers with an excellent experience
- Optimizing tee time inventory -maintaining tee sheet and point of sale - training available for Visual Golf tee sheet and POS
- Planning retail sales for pro-shop - buying, pricing, inventory control
- Golf cart fleet maintenance oversight - leading cart fleet supervisor and cart maintenance team
- Developing teaching programs - camps, clinics, lessons
- Participation in health and safety committee of facility
- Facilitate Golf Canada requirements
- Qualifications

- Excitement for the golf business, a love of the game, a passion for an efficiently run pro shop, customer service-oriented person that is good with people, a hard-working team player
- PGA of Canada Class A in good standing - Experience managing staff and pro-shop
- Bilingualism an asset, but not necessary
- Compensation

- Starting at $60k +, depending on experience
