Job Summary
As the Director of Golf, you will oversee and manage all aspects of the golf operations at our facility. This includes ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of course conditions, managing staff, organizing events, and maximizing revenue opportunities. Your leadership will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding golf experience for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
  •  Creates a member service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and meets the needs of the members.
  •  Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve member and guest satisfaction.
  •  Oversees the care and operations of all the guest facing experiences, pro shop facilities and associated physical assets.
  •  Develops, implements, and monitors annual budget, revenue goals and expenses for golf operations department.
  •  Provides timely and accurate reporting of all financial and non-financial information as directed, requested or required by management or representatives.
  •  Monitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary.
  •  Monitor financial performance and work with the Membership Sales Director in the promotion of new member leads, interaction with prospective members and orientation of new members.
  •  Develops, maintains and administers sound organizational plans and initiates improvements as necessary.
  •  Work closely with all of the resort departments to maximize total property revenue: Sales, Marketing and F&B.
  •  Conduct effective hiring, training, coaching and counselling according to organizational polices.
  •  Creates a member service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and
  •  Develop and execute the golf marketing and membership plans with the General Manager, Marketing team and Freed Golf division.
  •  Ensures the highest standards of quality for on course food and beverage services in partnership with food and beverage departments.
  •  Implements policies and procedures for the Golf and Experiences Departments, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products, programming and services.
  •  Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  •  Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to Head Professional, Tournament Coordinator, Teaching Professionals, Golf Services Manager, Experiences Manager, and Retail Manager.
  •  Provides leadership and vision to golf staff, building people, and preparing them for career advancement. Weekly staff meetings
Qualifications
  •  Must be a member in good standing of the CPGA
  •  Minimum 2-3 years of leading a team
  •  Strong business acumen with demonstrated skills
  •  Successful completion of a recognized Golf Management/Operations program
  •  Director of Golf in a Four Diamond Resort (preferred)
  •  Experience with a diversity of golf course operations: resort, semi-private
  •  Thorough understanding of the Golf Retail industry
  •  Must be polished and professional and have excellent communication skills
  •  A demonstrated passion for guest service, and exceeding expectations
  • Great computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office, LightSpeed, POS, retail inventory and familiar with Web based golf partners
Compensation
The salary range is $80,000-$90,000 + incentive.
