Job Summary

Who you Are:

You are the face of the Highlands Links Golf course its guests, members and community alike. You like being involved in sales and marketing efforts to attract new golfers and retain current ones. You enjoy being tasked with developing relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure that they have access to the best equipment, technology, and other resources needed to run a successful business.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Organizing and running tournaments and other events for charity or promotional purposes

• Hiring and training new staff members and ensuring that they are adequately trained to perform their duties

• Ensuring that all facilities are in good condition and ready to use by players

• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment in order to ensure that it is in good working condition

• Managing staff schedules and time off requests to ensure that they are fair to all employees

• Promoting membership, including developing new membership packages and selling packages to current members

• Managing the daily operations of the golf course, including setting tee times and managing the staff

• In collaboration with the marketing team developing marketing strategies to increase public awareness about the golf course, including advertising on channels as needed

• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Excellent team player with positive attitude

• Strong customer service skills.

• Point of sale, computer, and cash handling skills.

• Experience with Tee-On POS and tee time reservation systems considered an asset.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in golf operations or equivalent

• PGA of Canada Member in good standing

Compensation

$65k to $85k
