Glendale Golf & Country Club is conveniently located in West Winnipeg on Augier Avenue bordering the Assiniboine River. Originally designed by legendary course architect Stanley Thompson in 1946, Glendale is an 18-hole private club, which has a very walkable course layout, with spectacular greens and picturesque views. Included in our offerings are a new practice facility, 2 tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts.

- Job Summary
- The Director of Golf is part of Senior Management reporting to the General Manager while working closely with the Course Superintendent, the Director of Instruction, and Food and Beverage Manager. The Director of Golf will excel in overseeing the Golf Shop, Back Shop, tournament operations, practice facilities, retail business, and overall member engagement and experience.
- Responsibilities

- Leadership, lead the golf operation creating a safe and inclusive work environment
- Recruit, retain, motivate our Professional staff, along with Golf Shop, Back Shop, Starters, Volunteers, and all golf service staff
- Build on the strong member experience and service levels we strive for each day
- Ensure Professional staff have the mentorship and professional development to learn and grow in their roles.
- Be highly available, visible, approachable, with a member-first mindset
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Professionalism and leadership within Glendale and through the golf industry
- Oversee execution of member events and charity events
- Oversee all aspects of Jonas POS System, including pace of play, tee sheet management, and inventory
- Oversee member experience with our practice facilities in conjunction with the Director of Instruction.
- Experienced in Merchandising and Fittings. Delivering growth tailored to member and corporate needs.
- Golf Operation cost control, labour control, budgeting, and revenue growth experience
- Participate in Committee meetings
- Highly organized with all areas of the golf operation to be kept clean
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Class A Professional
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Head Golf Professional or Senior Management.
- Compensation
- Glendale will offer a competitive salary range from $90,000 - $105,000.
