As the Custom Fitting Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the StudioX Custom Fitting Centre. StudioX is a state-of-the-art custom fitting facility featuring private fitting bays, a dedicated putter fitting studio, a wide selection of premium fitting tools and components from the top brands in golf, and industry-leading fitting technology.
In this role, you will deliver exceptional on-site custom fittings, manage the appointment schedule, host virtual and in-person club fitting events, and provide regional training, coaching, and ongoing development for Golf Town's current and aspiring Master Club Fitters. You will play a key role in ensuring our premium custom fitting experience is truly best-in-class.
- Responsibilities

- Deliver best-in-class club fitting experience to Golf Town’s customers
- Assist in planning and coordinating the training schedule with the Director of Instruction (DOI”)
- Work with the DOI and merchandising teams to maintain the correct assortment of custom club fitting products and tools
- Liaise with other departments as required (e.g., marketing, visual, etc.) to ensure StudioX reaches and exceeds its objectives
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with customers, colleagues, and vendors
- Oversee all aspects of the StudioX custom fitting process, policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvements
- Manage the custom order process from purchase date to delivery to ensure SLAs are met; and communicate any order delays to the customer
- Stay up-to-date on vendor stock outs and backorders to improve operation of StudioX and Golf Town’s custom fitting process
- Make recommendations to the DOI on ways to improve StudioX and Golf Town’s custom fitting process – e.g. customer service, fitting tools and methods, new technologies, etc.
- Assist the DOI with trouble shooting technology issues at StudioX and stores as required
- Order office, store and other supplies for the CFC as required
- Run in-store product knowledge, training sessions and workshops.
- Facilitate training on custom fitting, product knowledge, and technology in-person and remotely (e.g. webinars, conference calls, e-learning, etc.) and multi-media presentations (images, audio, and video).
- Administer “Master Fitter Certification” sessions.
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada designation an asset or demonstrated ability to pass the PGA of Canada Playing Ability Test
- Must be an avid golfer with strong technical knowledge of equipment.
- Experienced (“Master” level) club fitter (vendor, green grass, or retail) with demonstrated proficiency in club fitting and club-building
- Experience with various club fitting and launch monitor technologies, including set up, calibration and troubleshooting
- Foresight Peak Level 1 Certified or similar launch monitor certification an asset
- In-depth knowledge of golf club delivery and golf swing mechanics
- 5+ years’ experience in club fitting
- 1-3 years’ management experience – preferably within a retail environment
- Experience and/or working knowledge of retail operations
- Superior organization, planning and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral, to all levels of the organization
