Ashburn Golf Club, one of the premier private clubs in the Maritimes, is seeking the services of a friendly and outgoing Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. Ashburn is a 36-hole facility, unique in that the Old Course designed by Stanley Thompson is in the middle of Halifax and the New Course, Geoffrey Cornish design, is 25 minutes north of Halifax beside Kinsac Lake.

- Job Summary
- Old Ashburn will provide a self-motivated candidate with an optimal setting to join a team that is focused on delivering impeccable customer service. The successful candidate will participate in all areas of the operation including pro shop, tournament planning and organizing, merchandise sales, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, inventory management, club fitting, junior golf program, private and group instruction.
- Responsibilities

- Manage daily pro shop operations, ensuring exceptional member and guest service.
- Plan, organize, and execute tournaments, leagues, and member events.
- Oversee golf shop merchandising and retail sales, including product presentation and customer assistance.
- Assist with staff scheduling and operational coordination within the golf shop.
- Support budgeting, invoicing, and financial tracking related to golf operations.
- Maintain and control inventory management, including ordering, tracking, and merchandising.
- Provide club fitting services to members and guests.
- Deliver private and group golf instruction, including lessons and clinics.
- Assist in the development and delivery of the junior golf program.
- Collaborate with the professional team to maintain high standards of service in a private club environment.
- Utilize golf management systems such as Jonas, Golf Genius Tournament Software, and GG Golf to manage events and operations.
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Member in good standing
- A service-driven mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in organizing and executing leagues and member events
- A strong desire to grow, learn, and develop as a Golf Professional
- Previous experience in a private golf club is an asset
- Excellent organization and attention to detail in daily operations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented private club environment
- Familiarity with Jonas, Golf Genius Tournament Software and GG Golf is an asset
- Compensation

- Weekly salary of $900 - $1050 based on experience and qualifications
