The Winston Golf Club is entering one of the most exciting chapters in its historyand we're looking for a passionate PGA of Canada Associate or Apprentice Golf Professional to be part of it.
Located minutes from downtown Calgary, The Winston is a semi-private club transitioning toward a more elevated, private-club experience. In 2026, we are operating in temporary facilities while construction is completed on our brand-new clubhouse, which is scheduled to be finished by the end of June and fully operational in July. This role offers a rare opportunity to help shape service standards, member experiences, and programming from the ground up as we open the doors to an incredible new facility.

The Associate or Apprentice Golf Professional will play a key role in daily golf operations, member engagement, and the continued growth of our programs. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely cares about delivering exceptional experiences for members and guests.
This is a 12-month, full-time position with leadership opportunities and meaningful involvement as the Club evolves.
- Responsibilities

- Execute leagues and tournaments (main responsibility)
- Deliver exceptional member and guest service in a private-club style environment
- Assist with day-to-day golf operations including tournaments, leagues, and events
- Communicate professionally and effectively with members via email, phone, and in person
- Support teaching programs, clinics, and player development initiatives
- Contribute ideas to improve programming, service standards, and operations
- Collaborate with Professional Staff, Outside Services, Turf Care, Hospitality, and Administration departments to deliver best in-class experience for members and guests
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
- Maintain strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf, World Handicap System, equipment, apparel, teaching methodologies and industry trends
- Enforce Club policies and standards professionally and consistently
- Resolve member and guest concerns in a timely and service-focused manner
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Apprentice or Associate Professional in good standing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A member-focused mindset with a genuine passion for caring at the workplace
- Willingness to contribute ideas and make a positive impact at the Club
- Experience with Golf Genius preferred
- Experience with Jonas Club Management considered an asset
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment during a transitional season
- Compensation

- Monthly salary: $4,200 $5,200 (commensurate with experience)
- 100% of lesson revenue (ability to earn ~$5,000-~$20,000)
