The Carleton Golf & Yacht Club is currently seeking a PGA of Canada Associate/Assistant Golf Professional
Located along the banks of the Rideau River just minutes from downtown Ottawa, Carleton was one of the first golf course residential communities established in North America. Established in 1963, CGYC is a member-owned private facility known for its outstanding course conditions, friendly atmosphere, and an unwavering commitment to offering an unforgettable member experience. In recent years, Carleton has hosted the PGA of Ottawa Zone Championship, PGA Canadian Seniors’ Championship, and numerous Ottawa Valley Golf Association events.
Carleton Golf & Yacht Club is a 12-month golf facility and includes an Indoor Golf Academy powered by TrackMan as well as a Fitness area. With a very active membership, Carleton has many golf and social events taking place throughout the year.

- Job Summary
- The successful candidate will be a vital member of the Professional Team. They will report directly to the Director of Golf.
- Responsibilities
-
Responsible for, but not limited to:
• Providing first class service to members and guests
• Supporting various golf sections
• Conducting private lessons, junior camps and administering group golf clinics
• Supervising and assisting the Member Services staff
• Placing special orders and recording product upon its arrival
• Merchandising of apparel, equipment, and other golf related products
• Administration of tournament events
• Club fitting and club repair
• Playing a reasonable amount of golf with members of all abilities
- Qualifications
-
• PGA of Canada member in good standing
• Post-secondary degree or college diploma with a golf management discipline (or working towards)
• Excellent member service, sales, and organizational skills
• Positive, professional attitude and a team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Proactive thinker who can prioritize their time in a fast-paced environment
• Club fitting and equipment knowledge is an asset
• Knowledge of JONAS and GG Golf is an asset
• Experience with TrackMan is an asset
• Tournament operations experience is an asset
• Previous experience at a private golf club is considered an asset
- Compensation

• $950 to $1150 weekly based on experience
