Associate/Assistant Professional: Port Carling Golf Club
Located just outside of the hub of the Muskoka Lakes, Port Carling Golf Club is a private member club and Top 100 golf course designed by Thomas McBroom. The club was acquired by current owner Michael H. DeGroote in 2007.
Mr. DeGroote has invested considerably in making improvements to all facets of the club, from the golf course through to the clubhouse, establishing Port Carling as one of the leaders in member golf in Canada. Since 2019, Port Carling has operated under the guidance of Teejay Alderdice, past President of the PGA of Canada.

Our new Professional will help to lead a team seeking to exceed membership expectations at every opportunity, while acting as a club ambassador who offers the highest level of service. You’ll support the philosophy and values of Port Carling, which caters to members who engage with the club on a seasonal basis.
Our golf course is exceptional, our members love playing it before heading back to the cottage for the day, and our goal is to provide a truly boutique experience for them each time they visit.

The ability to provide the highest level of customer service on an on-going basis in a professional and friendly manner.
• A team player who leads by example and has a great ability to communicate with colleagues, members, and guests.
• The confidence to conduct private lessons and group instruction.
• Wherewithal to supervise and assist in the daily operation of the Pro Shop, Back Shop, and on-course services.
• Thoughtful merchandising of apparel, equipment, and other related products.
- Qualifications

• A PGA of Canada Class "A" or Apprentice professional with a minimum1-3 of experience.
• Knowledge of Jonas, Golf Genius and Foresight
• Experience in merchandising and retail.
• Private lesson and group instruction experience.
• A passion for the game of golf, and the desire to get out on the course and play with members.
