Associate/Apprentice Golf Professional: Highwood Golf - High River, AB
Highwood Golf is seeking a career minded individual to become a key part of our golf operations team for 2023 and beyond.
The Highwood was established in August of 1958 and is in the town of High River, just 30 minutes south of Calgary. The club is wholly owned by shareholders and is a semi-private facility welcoming anyone to golf, dine, and enjoy social time in a friendly setting. We have 27 holes with the championship Highwood 18 course along with the family friendly Spitzee 9 course. We have had a combined 45,000+ rounds for the last three seasons. A new 10,000 square foot clubhouse was completed in 2010 and hosts a variety of meetings, events, and weddings. The Highwood has a fully stocked pro shop, locker rooms, meeting space, 200-person banquet hall (Wellman Room), Foxes Den restaurant, snack shack, grass tee driving range, and short game facility.

- Job Summary
- You will be scheduled for five days per week, consisting of working a regular shift in the pro shop four days a week, and one admin day to teach, play golf with members, and complete league duties and scheduling.
- Responsibilities
- Your specific job responsibilities will be in running one golf league (TBD) and scheduling/management of our 20-person starter/marshall crew.

• Experienced and enthusiastic instructor to golfers of all abilities
• Superior guest service skills
• Fully capable in operational environment
• Ability to effectively communicate and organize
• Remains respectful and level headed at all times
• Hard working, reliable, and trustworthy
• Supervisory and league experience required
• Capable of working well in a very busy environment
- Compensation
- Starting salary: $3,750-4,000 per month

- Your PGA dues will be covered by the club and you will receive a clothing and equipment package from Cobra/Puma.
