Job Summary

We are currently looking for the services of an Associate Golf Professional.

Reporting directly to The Head Professional, the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and management of golf operations staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide best in class service to members and their guests, always searching for new ways to enhance the daily experience.
  • Under the guidance of the Head Professional, you will be involved in managing member events and Golf Shop Inventory
  • Provide strong Golf Shop sales and professional retail merchandising
  • Play golf with the members, representing Vespra Hills, yourself, and the PGA in a positive manner always
  • Responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of The Golf Shop and outside golf services
  • Manage all service employees and support staff in preparing and executing member events
  • Expected to teach and assist in instruction programs
  • Assist in the Junior Program when required.
  • Coach and counsel golf operations staff to ensure The Club is providing service excellence to the membership and guests 
  • Product receiving including inventory control and management. Work closely with the merchandiser in developing sales and promotions
  • Pro Shop sales, merchandising, and system management.
  • Create and maintain an excellent work environment based upon teamwork and mutual respect
  • Embrace and enforce the directives and policies
Qualifications

We are seeking a PGA of Canada member who has the following attributes:

• PGA of Canada Member in good standing with a passion for development and mentorship

• Strong member service and member relations background. Passion for great member service

• Strong organizational skills

• Have the skills and personality to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere that provides exceptional service to our members and their guests

• Passionate about development within the industry and wiliness to learn and grow as a professional

• Experience of tournament organization and execution within a private golf atmosphere

• Experience within sales, merchandising, and inventory management

• Be an effective team builder and a leader with excellent communication, management, and organizational skills

 

Compensation
  • Based on experience and to be negotiated during hiring process.
  • 85% of lesson Revenue
