Associate Golf Professional/ Event Coordinator: Inglewood Golf & Curling Club - Calgary, AB

Inglewood Golf & Curling Club is looking for an experienced PGA of Canada Associate Golf Professional for the 2023 season and beyond. Inglewood is a semi-private, non-profit recreational facility, which operates year-round as one of Calgary’s finest 18-hole Championship Golf Courses. Complete with a full-service clubhouse, banquet area and lounge, retail pro shop, two Trackman golf simulators, 31 stall driving range, short game practice area, and a six-sheet curling facility.

Inglewood Golf & Curling Club is one of Calgary’s busiest golf courses and the candidate will need to be able to function is a fast-paced, high demand environment.

Job Summary
An integral member of the golf operation, reporting to the Head Golf Professional, the Associate Professional is devoted to the highest level of customer service. The successful applicant will be personable and passionate about providing an exceptional member/guest experience. Excellent communication, business, time management, and decision-making skills are key for this role.
Responsibilities

Your duties will include but are not be limited to:

• Event Coordinator for our Outside Tournaments and Club Events.

• Assist in training, development and supervision of daily activities and duties of the golf operation.

• Advanced Bookings Coordinator.

• Corporate sales and club fitting.

• Playing golf with members.

• Teaching golf to members, guests, and the public.

• Day to day tee sheet management and front counter duties.

• Implement all policies and plans established by the Head Golf Professional relating to the Pro Shop operation.

• Basic golf club repairs

Qualifications

• PGA of Canada member in good standing.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Positive attitude and team first mentality.

• Outgoing and energetic personality with the desire to grow within the golf industry.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Leadership and staff management qualities.

• Club fitting and teaching experience.

• Previous event management or coordination.

• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma is an asset.

• Knowledge of Golf Genius, and Jonas is an asset.

• Trackman knowledge and experience is an asset.

Compensation

12-month year-round position.

• Monthly salary of $3,800 to $4,200 plus.

• Commission on Pro Shop sales approximately $2,500 yearly.

• Lesson revenue (potential to earn $10,000 - $20,000+ annually).
