Job Summary
The candidate must Assist the Head Golf Professional with all activities relating to the management and execution of Kokanee Springs Resorts Golf Operations, applicants must be service-oriented, posses exceptional communication skills & attention to detail.
  • 40+ hours per week, including most weekend days, based upon seasonal business cycles (Full-time seasonal position / Salary)
  • Follow all employment policies and procedures as described in the ‘Employee Handbook’
  • Assist Head Golf Professional with hiring, training, and supervising of all Golf Operations staff
  • Effectively manage resort guest, passholder and public tee-times
  • Knowledge of golf equipment, retail operations, and merchandising
  • Provide golf instruction, including private lessons and clinics
  • Efficiently direct public and passholder tournaments and events from start to finish
  • Co-ordinate with Front Desk and Administration staff on all stay and play guests and groups
  • Assist guests by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules, and regulations
  • Manage the daily opening and closing of golf operations as needed
  • Maintain proficiency in playing ability and participate in professional events when feasible
  • Co-ordinate with Superintendent and grounds staff to ensure course is properly marked
  • Maintaining a good working relationship within a team atmosphere
  • Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional
  • PGA member in good standing
  • Post secondary degree or diploma preferred
  • Minimum two years as a golf professional preferred
  • Customer service orientated
  • Committed to working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Proven leadership
  • Reputation for quality and attention to detail
  • Willing and able to work a variety of shifts (early mornings, mid-day, evening, weekends, and holidays
  • Open to feedback and willingness to improve
3500-4000$ per month / based on experience
  • PGA Dues Paid upon completion of successful season
  • Meal provided on shift
  • Retain 80% of lesson revenue
