- Job Summary
- The candidate must Assist the Head Golf Professional with all activities relating to the management and execution of Kokanee Springs Resorts Golf Operations, applicants must be service-oriented, posses exceptional communication skills & attention to detail.
- Responsibilities
-
- 40+ hours per week, including most weekend days, based upon seasonal business cycles (Full-time seasonal position / Salary)
- Follow all employment policies and procedures as described in the ‘Employee Handbook’
- Assist Head Golf Professional with hiring, training, and supervising of all Golf Operations staff
- Effectively manage resort guest, passholder and public tee-times
- Knowledge of golf equipment, retail operations, and merchandising
- Provide golf instruction, including private lessons and clinics
- Efficiently direct public and passholder tournaments and events from start to finish
- Co-ordinate with Front Desk and Administration staff on all stay and play guests and groups
- Assist guests by providing and interpreting golf policies, rules, and regulations
- Manage the daily opening and closing of golf operations as needed
- Maintain proficiency in playing ability and participate in professional events when feasible
- Co-ordinate with Superintendent and grounds staff to ensure course is properly marked
- Maintaining a good working relationship within a team atmosphere
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional
- Qualifications

- PGA member in good standing
- Post secondary degree or diploma preferred
- Minimum two years as a golf professional preferred
- Customer service orientated
- Committed to working in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proven leadership
- Reputation for quality and attention to detail
- Willing and able to work a variety of shifts (early mornings, mid-day, evening, weekends, and holidays
- Open to feedback and willingness to improve
- Compensation
- 3500-4000$ per month / based on experience
