Valley Ridge Golf Club is a privately owned, semi-private facility located only 15 minutes from downtown on the west side of the city of Calgary, in a secluded valley along the scenic Bow River. Our 18 hole championship golf course, features tree lined fairways on the front nine followed by amazing panoramic views on the back nine. We are a busy year round facility that hosts numerous corporate tournaments, weddings and banquets. Valley Ridge Golf Club finds itself entering into the 2022 golf season with heightened enthusiasm and higher expectations. The management team and staff are committed to creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for all of our members and guests.

Job Summary
Valley Ridge Golf Club is seeking the service of highly motivated and energetic Assistant/Associate Professional to join our team for the 2022 season and beyond. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to work and learn from very experienced professional team while they advance career in a team friendly environment. Reporting to the Head Professional, the Assistant/Associate will play an active role in the overall success of our golf operations, and will help deliver exceptional customer service to our members and guests.
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to our members and guests on a daily basis.
  • Design, build, and oversee the corporate sales program.
  • Oversee, plan and execute all corporate tournaments.
  • Oversee, design and run the Men’s Night league for the upcoming season.
  • Coordinate and schedule all fit and demo days.
  • Assist Head Professional and other professionals with all member events.
  • Able to do club repair and fittings.
  • Design instruction and coaching programs for the teaching academy.
  • Assist with junior programs and camps.
  • Assist with ladies league programming and clinics.
  • Merchandising and social media.
  • Adhering and enforcing club policies and procedures set by management.
  • Play with members and guests through the season.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada member in good standing.
  • Product knowledge and club fitting experience.
  • Teaching experience in private and group settings.
  • A commitment to providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Ability to work and learn in a team environment and wants to be involved in all aspects of the golf shop operation.
  • Experience working with Golf Canada software and Golf Genius would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Leadership desire and capability.
Compensation
  • Salary: $4,000 to 4,200 per month
  • 90 % Teaching Revenue - Based on recent seasons revenue potential exceeds $20,000
