Assistant/Associate Golf Professional: Salmon Arm Golf Club

The Salmon Arm Golf Club is seeking the services of a PGA of Canada Assistant/Associate Golf Professional for the 2026 season. The Salmon Arm Golf Club, located in the heart of British Columbia's Shuswap region is one of the provinces top rated facilities featuring the 18 Hole Champions Golf Course and 9 Hole Heritage Golf Course. The Salmon Arm Golf Club has a reputation for being a fantastic layout and a must play on every golfer’s list.

Salmon Arm Golf Club is owned and operated by GolfNorth Properties. GolfNorth Properties is a golf and resort management company, based out of Conestogo, Ontario. Founded in 1994, the company has expanded steadily and is a national leader in the consolidation and management of golf properties across Canada. GolfNorth operates 41 properties in Canada, from British Columbia to Nova Scotia.

The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager to lead the golf operations team and will be involved in all aspects of the golf operations. We are looking for a highly motivated and well-organized individual to fill the role of PGA of Canada Assistant/Associate Golf Professional.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager to lead the golf operations team and will be involved in all aspects of the golf operations. We are looking for a highly motivated and well-organized individual to fill the role of PGA of Canada Assistant/Associate Golf Professional.
Responsibilities
  •  Lead the day-to-day operations of the Golf Operations department, including staff training and scheduling
  •  Provide a professional and enjoyable environment for all staff members
  •  Provide outstanding customer service to all members and guests
  •  Work within operational budgets
  •  Ensure club policies and rules are enforced
  •  Organize and oversee all club events, tournaments and golf related leagues
  •  Lead role in the SAGC Golf Academy: private lessons, clinics and junior programs
  •  Manage Tee Sheets and ensure staff are managing effectively
  •  Oversee retail operations focusing on merchandising, special orders and golf club fittings
  •  Attend monthly management meetings
  •  Maintain a clean and organized golf shop and office areas
Qualifications
  •  PGA of Canada member in good standing
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  •  Ability to work and lead in a team environment
  •  Ability to multitask and adapt to a changing work environment
  •  Strong communication skills
  •  Customer focused
  •  Experience with “Tee-On” POS software is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Compensation
  •  Salary will commensurate with experience ($900-$1150 weekly)
  •  80% of lesson revenue
