- Job Summary
- The Associate Golf Professional/Assistant Professional is a key member of the golf operations team and assists the Head Golf Professional/ProShop Manager in managing all golf and golf-related activities at the facility.
- Responsibilities
-
• Possess or working towards a post-secondary degree or college diploma with a specialty in Professional Golf Management (PGM) or Business/Hospitality.
• Knowledge of Chronogolf/Lightspeed POS an asset
• Working the Golf Shop (answering phones, checking in customers, helping guests with retail purchases, ability to stand for extended periods of time)
• Heavily involved in visual merchandising (creating displays, rearranging the Golf Shop on a monthly basis, ensuring the shop/stock rooms are clean, tidy and presentable)
• Supervise pro shop staff and outside services staff -Train new pro shop staff and outside services staff
• Monitor guest/member experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service
• Manage the staff in their maintenance of daily debit/credit receipts and accounts receivable charges
• Assist in coordinating of individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the Head Golf Professional and any other duties as required
- Qualifications

• Ability to work closely within a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word; Excel; Outlook; PowerPoint)
• A background in competitive playing, teaching experience/certifications, fitting, and repairs is also considered an asset.
