Job Summary

We are currently looking for a highly motivated PGA of Canada professional, or Candidate for Membership to help fill out our team for the 2023 season and beyond. Reporting to the Head Professional, the successful candidate will be a key player in providing our members and guests with a welcoming, friendly, personable, and professional experience.

The successful candidate will also display excellent communication skills, have the ability to handle the demands of a very busy facility, and have a passion for growing the game of golf, demonstrated through their dayto-day interactions with clients.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Golf Shop Operations

• Assist in the development and maintenance of an exceptional club atmosphere through positivity and professionalism

• Work with the other professionals to deliver expert club fitting sessions, and basic club repair duties

• Assist in the coordination and execution of club events, corporate events, and leagues.

• Work with the Head Professional, and the rest of our team to develop and implement the best junior golf program in Central Alberta

• Facilitating member and guest engagement through the execution of sales, instruction, and playing

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills with members, guests, and staff alike

• Well versed in retail sales strategies, including expert product knowledge, and excellent customer service and sales skills – preferably with an affinity for merchandising

• An understanding of various social media platforms, and the technical skills to help market the golf operations successfully on those platforms

• Technologically savvy with basic computer programs including the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Skills in photo/video editing through the Adobe Creative Suite will also be an asset

• Time management, organization, and the ability to schedule yourself and other employees

• Must have a passion for going above and beyond a regular level of service to exceed the expectations of members, guests, and the public alike at every opportunity

Compensation

• Salary will be between $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 paid on a monthly basis

• 90% of Lesson Revenue

Employment Duration

Initial term will finish on the 31st of October, with the expectation that the length of term will increase the following season, provided evaluation targets are met.

Flexible based on the schedule of the successful candidate – however the latest an applicant would be asked to start is May 1 st 2023
