Assistant/Associate Professional - Miramichi Golf and Country Club
Miramichi Golf and Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated PGA of Canada Professional to join our team as an Assistant/Associate Professional for the 2024 golf season and beyond. Aspiring professionals will also be considered for the role(s).
The Miramichi Golf & Country Club is a semi-private golf course, inviting golfers of all skill levels.
Our vibrant, welcoming membership take great pride in our club which has recently landed us a national award! Our golf course offers a serene landscape made up of New Brunswick’s mighty evergreens that leave golfers with something to smile about long after play. Sitting at a par 71, just under 6200 yards, there is a driving range for those looking to practice or learn to play as well as three sets of tees for the beginner, intermediate or advanced player. Though we invite you to take one of our sleek, new power carts, many enjoy getting their exercise by strolling the subtle hills during their round. Between a clubhouse approaching its 200th year and a culture that leaves a lasting impression, Miramichi Golf & Country Club is proud to provide the ‘very best’.
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will become an integral part of the professional team.

- Job Summary
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a superior customer service atmosphere for all members and guests of MGCC. In addition, they will deliver a high-quality lesson experience to all golfers and conduct club events and daily operational procedures relating to club activities and retail sales programs.
- Responsibilities
-
Responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:
• Providing exceptional services to all members and guests.
• Manage various member and outside events to the highest professional standard.
• Being a part of a dynamic retail operation and lead or assist in inventory management.
• Monitor, train, and support the Outside Operations team (Caddyshack).
• Assist in display, promotion, and sales of merchandise
• Be an active part of our PGA Instructional staff (lots of lessons, clinics, and camps to be taught!)
- Qualifications
-
• PGA of Canada Member in good standing, or Apprentice level looking for growth opportunity.
• Enrolled in, or graduate from an accredited Golf Management Program, such as Humber College an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience at a private club is an asset, but not essential.
• Teaching experience (private and clinics).
- Compensation

• Compensation commensurate with experience. $650-$775 weekly
• Accommodations included for the season - large 2-bedroom apartment including heat/hydro/ac, and satellite tv. (on-site).
• 100% lesson revenue (depending on experience), to be taught off-shift.
• Possibility of extra lesson revenue from Junior programming.
