Assistant/Apprentice Professional : Whitevale Golf Club

The Whitevale Golf Club located in Pickering Ontario is looking for an Assistant Professional to join our team. The golf club was established in 1958 and has an active membership who play approximately 28,000 rounds per season. The club remains a hidden gem within the golf community and is proud of its long history of accomplished players. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for the golf business and the willingness to learn and grow through hard work and dedication.

Job Summary

The candidate will assist with the daily golf operations which includes:

• Assist head professional in all facets of the golf operation.

• Plan and assist with league coordination, tournaments and outside events.

• Assist with recruitment, training and supervision of the golf operations staff.

• Work collaboratively with other professionals on staff to offering the highest service levels.


The Assistant Professional will be a supervisor within the Golf Operation Team, which includes supervision of daily operations, seasonal staff, retail, merchandising, member events and tournaments, as well as daily play.

The Assistant must be willing to teach private lessons, group lessons, and junior golf camps.


The successful candidate should possess:

• PGA of Canada Member in good standing or Apprentice

• 2+ years as an Assistant Professional.

• Have a great personality, proactive mindset, and be willing to challenge yourself to be great.

• Experience in using Jonas POS system and Golf Genius.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.


• $800 - $900 Weekly Salary


• Average 5-day work week (may vary during busy season)

• PGA of Canada dues

• 100% of teaching revenues
