Job Summary

This is a full-time on-site role located in Radium Hot Springs, BC for a PGA of Canada Golf Professional. The PGA of Canada Assistant Golf Professional will assist in the operations of the golf facilities, assist with golf programs and events, train staff, provide golf instruction to guests and engage in promotional activities.

Responsibilities

• Day to day operations of the Golf Shop

• Golf Shop merchandising, sales and service

• Cash balancing and shift reconciliation

• Assistance with event organization and execution

• Teaching golf lessons and camps will be a big part of this role

• Willingness to train, learn and advance as a PGA Professional

Qualifications

• Must be a member in good standing of the PGA of Canada

• Must have sound knowledge and preferably experience with teaching golf in various settings to various groups

• Extensive knowledge of the golf industry and golf course operations

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in basic computer skills, POS and industry-related software

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

• First Aid certification would be an asset

Compensation

• An above average industry base pay rate. This particular position will be $19 per hour to $21 per hour, based on experience.

• The lesson revenue 70% for the pro, 30% to the facility.

Employment Duration
