Job Summary

To assist the Golf Operations Manager with day to day operations of the golf course, pro shop, driving range and power cart fleet. The ability to take a leadership role and create a positive and team orientated work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training, managing and motivating of Pro Shop & Back Shop staff
• Check in and assist members and public players
• Manage the tee sheet, monitor the golf course including pace of play, player conduct, etc.
• Merchandise, promote and sell Pro Shop product
• Inventory management
• Manage presentation and maintenance of power cart fleet
• Manage presentation and maintenance of driving range
• Schedule and instruct golf lessons and clinics with members and the general public
• Provide club fitting to members and the general public
• Assist in planning, organization and execution of course events, tournaments, leagues and scoring
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behaviour and work ethic expected of all employees.

Qualifications

• PGA of Canada member in good standing
• Teaching and club fitting experience
• Prior golf service and retail experience
• Proficiency with computer software (Tee-On) and word, excel, publisher
• Excellent work ethic and ability to take initiative
• Positive attitude and professional manner and appearance
• Display leadership and team building skills
