Assistant Professional: The Weston Golf and Country Club
The Weston Golf and Country Club is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Golf Professional. Established in 1915, the club is located in Toronto’s West end and boasts a 1920 Willie Park Jr. designed Par 72 18-hole golf course. With the recent addition of The Golf Nest, a 7500 square foot indoor golf facility, Weston has become a year-round golf haven for our members.
The club is seeking a PGA of Canada Class A or Apprentice Professional for a year-round position. As a club with a highly active and competitive golfing membership, it is our hope the successful candidate aims to gain career experience in both golf operations and instruction.

- Responsibilities

- Day-to-day Professional Shop duties including merchandising, sales, and tee sheet management
- Supervision of golf services staff
- Tournament and event coordination
- Private and group instruction
- Junior clinic and camp instruction
- Club fitting, re-gripping and repairs
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada Member in good standing
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- PGM Diploma considered an asset
- Prior experience in member or customer services
- Attention to detail; highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
- Experience with Golf Genius, Jonas POS, and ForeTees software an asset
- Competitive playing ability an asset
- Compensation

- $47,500 annual salary based on a 5-day work week
