- Job Summary
- Piper’s Heath Golf Club is currently seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our team for the 2024 golf season. This is a fulltime, seasonal position from April through November.
- Responsibilities
-
- Assist and lead in tournament coordination from start to finish: golf event preparation, set-up, and execution
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and operation of the Piper’s Heath Men’s League
- Assist and lead the supervision of backshop, marshalls, starters in adherence to club policy and in absence of the Director of Golf
- Assist with the hiring and training of support staff
- Assist with the scheduling of staff members
- Handle correspondence and communication, including personal, telephone and written
- Manage daily opening and closing of golf operations
- Check-in golfers on day of play using point of sale system
- Oversee and monitor on-course operations including course flow, pace of play, start times
- Assist with inventory tracking and control
- Sales oriented, offer suggestions to implement “new” strategies to improve the operation
- Utilize knowledge of products and services
- Perform backshop, starter, marshal duties as required
- Ensure high quality customer service by mentoring, motivating, and encouraging support staff
- Adhere to scheduled work hours and be punctual when reporting to work
- Arrive at work in uniform as prescribed by management
- Provide golf instruction as requested
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf

- Outgoing personality and strong communication skills
- Available to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Committed to future growth in the golf industry
- Prior pro shop experience, with POS and tee sheet management an asset
