Job Summary

The Highlands Golf Club is looking for the services of an Assistant/ Associate Golf Professional. The successful applicant reports directly to the Head Professional and works with a Pro Shop team consisting of PGA of Canada Professionals, seasonal Pro Shop Assistants, Club Storage Manager, and various part time staff.

Highlands is looking for an individual who is highly motivated, conducts themselves with integrity and respect, and who knows the importance of providing outstanding customer service in all aspects of the golf industry.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the creation and presentation of a Pro Shop that creates a warm, welcoming feeling for members/guests.

• Retail Management: receiving, merchandising, promotion, and sales.

• Responsible for monthly inventory counts.

• Promoting whatever golf club brand (subsidy) the successful applicant will receive.

• Assisting in Club and Outside Golf events including organization, promotion, scoring, handicapping and prize presentation.

• Support in offering and maintaining our active Junior Program.

• Overseeing and administering our weekly Ladies golf leagues.

• Attend regularly scheduled Pro Shop staff meetings.

• Teaching and club fitting using Foresight simulator technology

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the PGA of Canada.

• Must have a passion for people and service excellence.

• Strong passion for teaching and club fitting.

• Jonas POS system and Golf Genius Event Software experience would be considered an asset.

Compensation

• Monthly Salary: $3,900 to $4,500 – Year-Round Employment
