Francis Bergeron, Head Professional and Golf Director at the Montréal Country Club, is seeking an assistant professional for the 2026 golf season.

The Country Club of Montréal, a private club with nearly 700 members, is located on Montréal's South Shore, in Saint Lambert, facing downtown Montréal. In 2026, the club will celebrate its 116th anniversary. It operates 12 months a year thanks to three ProSim simulator stations in winter.

Job Summary

The candidate must, to the best of their knowledge and ability, offer the following services to members of the Country Club of Montréal:

  • Provide courteous, professional service and have a good knowledge of the products offered in the shop.
  • Have the skills to custom fit golf clubs and provide fast, high-quality club repair service.
  • Provide versatile, high-quality golf instruction.
  • Have basic knowledge of how to use the Garmin R50 FlightScope.
  • Supervise various operations related to the profession.
  • Under the supervision of the store manager, the candidate will be required to learn administrative operations using Acomba and GGGolf.
Qualifications

The candidate must be a member of the PGA of Canada or in the process of becoming one. The main qualities sought are dynamism, a passion for golf, a good knowledge of golf teaching methodology, and good communication skills.

Although communication with members is mainly in French, a good knowledge of English is an asset.

Compensation
  • For hours worked in the store, competitive hourly wage based on experience ($20 to $24)
  • 100% of private lesson revenue, at an hourly rate varying according to experience (between $80 and $110)
  • Percentage of revenue from junior golf camps and the junior development program
