- Job Summary
- The Grande Prairie Golf & Country Club is seeking the services of an Assistant Professional for the 2022 season.
- Responsibilities
-
- Active involvement in day-to-day operations of our golf shop, including management of inventories, tee sheet and guest experience
- Lead the organization of leagues and assist with club hosted events
- Assist in executing corporate and charity golf events
- Teach clinics and lessons to members and guests
- Continue the development and success of a strong Junior Golf program
- Execute creative merchandising and accurate inventory management
- Execution and enforcement of demo and rental club policies and controls
- Strong understanding of the rules of the golf and world handicap system
- Strong knowledge of equipment, apparel and a keen eye to recognize trends within the golf industry
- Qualifications

- Member in good standing with the Canadian PGA
- Strong communication skills (oral, written and computer)
- Experience and understanding of running golf events and leagues
- Ability to be part of and help lead a team environment
- Background in delivering great customer service
- Experience in retail merchandising and selling
- Club fitting knowledge preferred
- Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19
- Knowledge of golf related programs; Lightspeed Golf, Golf Genius are an added benefit
- Extremely organized and possess an exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow with a great organization
- Compensation

- $3,500 - $4,000 per month based on 8-month season. Experience to be considered
- 90% of your lesson revenue
