Job Summary

Work with and assist the Head Golf Professional with the day-to-day responsibilities of the golf department at Muskoka Bay Resort. This position will promote an exceptional “golf experience”, will also be responsible for member relations, teach lessons, help drive retail sales and work cooperatively with all other departments of the resort.

Responsibilities

• Ensure superior levels of customer service and Member satisfaction.

• Ensure all members and guests have a positive golf experience at Muskoka Bay Resort.

• Responsible for assisting with the coordination of all member and corporate golf events.

• Monitor outside services staff regularly to ensure a high level of customer service is being delivered consistently.

• Ensure that all golf shop merchandise is properly displayed, that adequate stock levels are maintained and that all special orders are placed appropriately and are followed up on.

• Provide efficient use and accountability for the tee sheet.

• Provide ideas and suggestions to optimize the performance of the golf department.

• Ensure inventory of operational items such as scorecards, players guides, pencils, bag tags, promotional items, proximity markers are maintained.

• Provide and maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards for the Golf Shop.

• Log and track rental club inventory on a daily basis.

• Play golf with members when requested, provided time permits and job responsibilities are not compromised. • All other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Member of the PGA of Canada preferred, but not required

• Experience in managing tee sheets and inventory systems is an asset

• Experience with Golf Genius software

• Opportunities available for teaching if PGA of Canada member – 80% of teaching revenue

• Excellent written and oral communication

Compensation

$750 per week (paid hourly)
