The Miramichi Golf & Country Club is a semi-private golf course, inviting golfers of all skill levels.

Our vibrant, welcoming membership take great pride in our club which has recently landed us a national award! Our golf course offers a serene landscape made up of New Brunswick’s mighty evergreens that leave golfers with something to smile about long after play. Sitting at a par 71, just under 6200 yards, there is a driving range for those looking to practice or learn to play as well as three sets of tees for the beginner, intermediate or advanced player. Though we invite you to take one of our sleek, new power carts, many enjoy to get their exercise by strolling the subtle hills during their round. Between a clubhouse approaching its 200th year and a culture that leaves a lasting impression, Miramichi Golf & Country Club is proud to provide the ‘very best’.

Job Summary
Miramichi Golf and Country Club is looking for a committed Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. The selected candidate will work 5 to 6 days per week during the peak golf season from April 1st to November 1st. Responsibilities include supporting club operations, aiding with club tournaments, overseeing corporate tournaments, supervising support staff, and assist in managing pro shop duties, among other club functions.
Responsibilities

Key duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling daily club operations, including customer check-ins and ensuring high levels of service
  • Assist in supervising outside services staff.
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Upholding a well-respected and professional image within the club, industry, and community.
  • Being proficient in all computer programs, including Lightspeed and Golf Genius
  • Responsible for daily operations of the Golf Shop, including checking-in players
  • for scheduled tee times, selling merchandise, green fees, golf carts and
  • processing all transactions accurately and effectively.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations in absence of the Director of Golf.
  • Enforce club rules and policies when applicable, help resolve Member and
  • guest issues should they arise.
  • Assist with inventory management, processing and tracking in accordance with
  • club procedures, organization of storage and display areas, inventory, etc.
  •  Maintain a strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf, the World Handicap System
  • (WHS), equipment, apparel and industry trends.
  •  Assist with all tournaments and leagues, which include promoting and planning
  • the execution of the event and post event responsibilities. Serve on golf-related
  • committees as required.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and management of all Golf Operations staff
  •  Play and promote golf with all categories of our membership.
  •  Provide high-quality lessons, clinics to members and guests.
Qualifications
  •  PGA of Canada member in good standing
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing and energetic personality with a willingness to grow as a professional
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively
Compensation
  • $800-$900 salary weekly based on experience.
  • 100% Lesson revenue.
