Assistant Golf Professional/ Inventory Manager: Emerald Hills Golf Club

One of the original four founding courses of ClubLink when the company began in 1993, Emerald Hills Golf Club is leafy sanctuary of golf in one of the most revered natural areas around Greater Toronto. Originally opened in 1982, the course takes maximum advantage of the ruggedly gorgeous Oak Ridges Moraine.

Talk about an architectural one-two punch: the late Rene Muylaert designed the original 18 holes which were so well respected that they played host to the Nations Cup in 1999 and 2000, in which LPGA players representing Canada and the U.S. played each other in a Ryder Cup-style team competition. In 2005, acclaimed designer Thomas McBroom inlaid nine additional 'inland links' holes into the mix bringing Emerald Hills to 27 holes, providing ClubLink Members with even more flexibility and variety. 

At 20,000 square feet, the recently renovated clubhouse is an elegant venue for member functions especially with the spectacular view from the main dining room down on the verdant course. The private boardroom features a walkout deck that also provides lovely views of the layout. 

Although it's only 35 minutes from downtown Toronto and close to Highway 404, Emerald Hills makes you feel like you’re a world away from everything else - except great golf.

Job Summary

The Inventory Manager is responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly implementation and planning of the retail operation, promoting and ensuring Member and guest satisfaction, as well as promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, Members and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, promote and market products.
  • Promote daily floor sales and customer service relations.
  • Promote a clean attractive golf shop.
  • Assist the Professional staff in planning calendar with seasonal sales strategies and follow through.
  • Determine customer demand for merchandise.
  • Create a positive environment and create high morale among employees.
  • Monitoring flow of inventory from backroom to golf shop floor.
  • Carry out various administrative duties as needed.
  • Create and maintain displays to reflect seasonality and promotions.
  • Assist in achieving projected sales growth targets.
  • Perform month end duties that include inventory counts and adjustments.
  • Working shop shifts as required.
Qualifications
  • Preferably a PGA of Canada member in good standing.
  • TEI experience is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience is a similar role is preferred.
  • Retail sales experience considered an asset.
  • Must have strong leadership skills.
  • Ideally, you have previous golf experience.
Compensation
  • $800-$1000/week, based on experience,
