Established in 1912, Whitlock is a premiere 27-hole facility that will test any golfer. From large undulating greens, rolling terrain and tight tree-lined fairways, Whitlock will challenge every aspect of a golfer’s skills. Over the course of its history, the club has produced numerous successful amateur golfers at the Provincial and National levels, and it is aptly nicknamed The Course of Champions. Job Summary
Whitlock Golf & Country Club is seeking a motivated and outgoing Assistant or Associate Golf Professional to join our team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for the game, and a genuine desire to learn and grow. As a key representative of our 27-hole facility, you will play an active role in pro shop operations, staff management, event execution, and our teaching programs.
Responsibilities

Pro Shop Operations: Work 3 to 5 shifts per week in the pro shop, with increased hours during the spring and fall periods.

Staff Leadership: Oversee the daily operations and staff of the bag shop and driving range.

Tournament & Event Support: Assist with the organization and execution of various club competitions and member events throughout the season.

Member Experience: Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain an engaging and outgoing presence, and comfortably handle member inquiries in person and over the phone.

Teaching :

Junior program from the end of June to mid-August

  • 8-week program

  • Teaching day: Tuesdays

  • Two groups: 8:00am to 9:30am & 10:00am to 11:30am

  • Added revenue

Ladies Clinics

  • 5-week program from mid-May to end of June

  • Teaching day to be determined

  • One to three groups subject to signups

  • 1.5-hour lessons

  • Added revenue

Private Lessons

Qualifications

  • Must be a member in good standing with the PGA of Canada (Apprentice Professional or Class A Professional).

  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of GGGolf, Acomba, Microsoft Word, and Excel is considered an asset, but not mandatory.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is highly preferred to effectively communicate with our membership.

Compensation

  • Full-time, seasonal position (must be available weekends and evenings)

  • 40-hour work week

  • Base Salary: $1,000 per week.

  • PGA of Canada annual dues paid by Whitlock.
