Job Summary
Windermere Valley Golf Course is seeking a motivated, service-driven Assistant / Apprentice Golf Professional to join our golf operations team for the 2026 season. The successful candidate will play a key role in daily golf shop operations, junior programs, club fitting, leagues, tournaments, and guest services while contributing positively to our team-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing the golf shop, including daily cash-out and reconciliation
  • Delivering golf instruction with a focus on junior golf programs
  • Retail sales, merchandising, and inventory control in a fully stocked pro shop
  • Tee sheet and guest management using Lightspeed, Chronogolf, and Golf Genius
  • Tournament and league preparation, set-up, and day-of execution
  • Oversight of daily guest services operations
  • Supporting and assisting with large men’s and ladies’ leagues
  • Full-scale club fitting and repair services
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member or Apprentice in good standing
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Lightspeed, Chronogolf, and Golf Genius considered an asset
  • Sound knowledge of modern teaching techniques and instructional programs
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, community-focused attitude
Compensation
  • Salary: $3,600 – $3,900 per month, depending on experience
  • 100% of lesson revenue retained by the professional (significant earning potential)
