Apprentice/Assistant Professional: Trestle Creek

Trestle Creek Golf Resort is looking for an Apprentice/Assistant Professional for the 2024 Season. Trestle Creek Golf Resort was Established in 2010 and the first nine (Jack Pine) opened in 2012. It opened the second nine (Creekside) in 2015, The third nine (Magnolia) is currently under construction with updates posted as construction continues into 2024 and beyond. When completed Trestle Creek will boast 27 holes of championship golf designed by Brad Dupuis. It is a spectacular golf experience as the course weaves through the creeks, lakes, forest, and hills.

The resort style golf course has been designed to please golfers of all levels, from the beginner to the professional. With five sets of tee boxes on every hole, you’ll be impressed with the different look each hole has depending on where you play from.

Our practice facility is a 360 yard, two tier driving range complete with six target greens situated from 90 yards to 270 yards out. All the distances have been tracked by GPS, so you are always using accurate distances when choosing a club. Next to the driving range there is a unique chipping and pitching area with an 8,000 sq. ft. putting green and a 5000 sq. ft. chipping green with grass and sand bunkers for the avid golfer to improve their short game.

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible to supervise and manage golf operations, reporting to the Head Golf Professional. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to provide the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all members and guests. Key duties will include but are not limited to checking in golfers through our POS system, tee sheet optimization, assist in organizing and executing tournaments and leagues, junior program operations, and overseeing golf operations and additional staff.
Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of Golf Services Operation including the team of staff members.

• Maintain Trestle Creeks customer service standards.

• Responsible for proper cash handling opening and closing procedures as well as making sure that all standards of the golf shop operations are being met.

• Assist on inventory controls, checking-in merchandise in accordance with procedures, along with the organization of storage and display areas.

• Accurately book tee-times for members and visitors, directing them to online booking when possible.

• Develop and nurture relationships with members and guests alike.

• Coordination and implementation of League, Corporate, and Member Events.

• Ensure daily assignments are completed in their respective areas to meet Club standards.

• Coordination and implementation of Junior Golf Program

Qualifications

• PGA of Canada member in good standing

• Tee-On POS system knowledge an asset

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Working knowledge of Golf Genius an asset

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

• Accountability

• Product knowledge

Compensation

• $3000 - $4000 / month based on experience 

• 90 % of Teaching Revenue
