Apprentice Golf Professional

This position will assist the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional with the overall day-to-day golf operations including supervising, training, and leading the golf operations team. This person will supervise and manage the total golf operations in the absence of the Head Golf Professional and/or Associate Golf Professional and provide professional services to ensure that the members and guests have exceptional experiences that exceed their expectations.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Professional in all golf services and operations
• Manage member leagues and club events
• Assist Head Teaching Professional operate golf school and summer golf camps
• Merchandising and inventory control
• Assist with planning and budgeting the golf operations
• Assist Guest Services Manager manage outside services staff
• Create and manage Golf Shop schedules
• Managing and tracking play

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as an Assistant Golf Professional preferred but not required
• Active PGA of Canada Membership
• Golf Genius knowledge is preferred
• Hard-working, self-starter with great interpersonal skills
• Experience in team management is an asset
• Experience with online tee sheets, inventory, and POS systems

Compensation
  • Salary based on experience
  • 80% of private lesson revenue
  • Group & Junior program revenue (TBD by Head Teaching Professional)
