Quarry Oaks Golf Course is regarded as one of Manitoba’s premiere golf destinations in Manitoba. Situated on 440 acres, Quarry Oaks allows an experience in a serene setting with 27 holes, Quarry Oaks’ beautifully sculpted fairways, grand oaks and water features running throughout the course are a peaceful sight to the eye.
The course first opened in 1992 as 18 holes, with players of all levels in mind. Excellent range and practice facility showcase all grass teeing surfaces and target greens, among the best short game & practice areas in the province with bunkers and 3 practice putting greens. Quarry Oaks is a public resort-style course with over 125 members annually and a health roster of seasonal events. Located a short 30 minute, 50km drive from the south east corner of Winnipeg. 10 minutes north east of the City of Steinbach.

- Job Summary
- The Successful applicant will report directly to the Head Professional and will be a key figure in the golf operation department. Leading by example in management and supervision of the golf service activities, including the team of proshop staff.
- Responsibilities
-
• Assisting in overseeing and administering all daily golf operations
• Maintaining excellent service standards to achieve customer satisfaction
• Administering golfer check-in through our POS system, including tee sheet optimization
• Assist in organizing and executing club & corporate tournaments
• Lead the junior program operations, including clinics, camps & events
• Coordination and implementation of league and member events
• Responsible for proper cash handling opening and closing procedures, well making sure that all standards of the golf shop operations are being met
• Assist on inventory controls, checking-in merchandise in accordance with procedures, along with the organization of storage and display areas
• Ensure daily assignments are completed in their respective areas to meet Quarry Oaks standards
• Play and promote the game of golf, representing the club in a professional manner
• Interact & network with our customers building a foundation for lasting relationships
- Qualifications
-
• PGA Member in good standing or Applicant for Membership in the PGA of Canada
• Computer literate including: P.O.S. systems, Microsoft 365; Word, Excel & Outlook
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Managerial leadership focusing on training, scheduling & motivating
• Excellence in merchandising, retail sales skills and customer service
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Solid understanding in club fitting, club repair, rules of golf and equipment product knowledge
• Experience with a junior golf program and golf instruction would be an asset
• Energetic, personable and motivated to succeed in the golf industry
